Craft and Design in the ACT Legislative Assembly collection exhibits selected works from the collection, designed and made by accomplished local craft artists and designers. Recently, a suite of three General Assembly Canberra brooches were acquired for this collection and are part of this exhibition. Produced as a collaborative contemporary jewellery project, between 2007 – 2009 by Studio Hacienda (Blanche Tilden and Phoebe Porter), the General Assembly Canberra brooch series was inspired by Walter and Marion Griffin’s visionary design for Canberra.
